Subway: Take the subway to Kungsträdgården, Gamla Stan, or Slussen. For more information, visit www.sl.se.
Car: The nearest parking garage is Gallerian, with entrances at Regeringsgatan 15 or 20.
Train: If you’re arriving by train to Stockholm Central Station, the easiest way to reach the event area is to walk approximately 1,200 meters.
Pick Up Your Race Kit at the Half Marathon Expo
On August 16-23, your race confirmation will be sent via email. If you register later, you will receive your race confirmation via email a few days after registration. Show the race confirmation on your phone when you arrive at the Ramboll Stockholm Half Marathon Expo to pick up your Race Kit. Your race number will be indicated on the confirmation. If you can’t find your race confirmation in your email, bring your ID to the Expo and go to the information desk.
Race Pack Contents
The envelope contains a race bib with a chip, a label with your race number that you should attach to your Kit bag before arriving at the event area, and safety pins. You will also receive a Kit bag for clothing drop-off on race day.
If you live in Stockholm, we appreciate it if you pick up your race bib on Thursday or Friday, as there will be a lot of people at the Expo on Saturday, leading to long queues. If you can only pick up your race bib on Saturday, please arrive early, and make sure to collect your race bib at least 1 hour before your start time.
Changing Start Groups
When you receive your digital race confirmation via email, it will indicate which start group you have been assigned to. If you wish to change your start group, this is possible if space allows, but only at the information desk at the Expo’s race bib collection area. Start by collecting your race bib, then go to the information desk to make the change. It’s always allowed to move to a later start group than the one you’re registered for. If you want to move to an earlier start group, you must provide proof that you are qualified to move up. Note: Official race results are required for reseeding to an earlier group.
Name changes are not possible on-site, only until August 28!
Experience the Vibrant Atmosphere at the Expo
This year, the Expo has moved to Kungsträdgården, right in the center of Stockholm, close to public transport and the start & finish area.
Bring colleagues, friends, and family to spend a few inspiring hours at the Expo. This year, we expect around 25,000 visitors. At the Expo, you’ll pick up your Race Kit and then move on to the Stadium and adidas store. Here you’ll find stylish clothes, shoes, accessories, and sports equipment for sale at the Stadium shop. You can then proceed to our sponsors’ and partners’ booths in the exhibition area outside the tent, where you can explore the latest trends, news, running tips, offers, competitions, tastings, and inspiration. Visit the Marathon Group’s booth to talk about running and more exciting races. You can also pick up pace bands here. Outside, there is a large course map where you can take selfies with your group. You can enjoy food from our food trucks and relax in the sun while listening to the DJ.
There is no bag ban at the Expo, but we encourage all visitors to avoid bringing bags into the Expo, and be aware that any bag brought into the Expo may be searched by security personnel. Thank you for your understanding.
Register for Next Year
At the Expo, you can register for next year’s race and receive a ”Train For” T-shirt. Don’t miss out! This offer is only available at the Expo.
Food at the Expo
Our food trucks outside the Expo offer food and drinks so you can stay longer at the Expo.
Among others, Joe & The Juice will be there, where you can try their delicious smoothies and sandwiches.
Stage Program at Kungsträdgården
On Friday, feel free to stop by the Expo in Kungsträdgården and listen to our great stage program. The program runs from approximately 16:00 to 19:00, and the moderators for the day are Johan Forsstedt and Erik Olofsson from the Maratonlabbet podcast. The stage program and guest lineup will be announced during the event week. Stay tuned!
After Run at Kungsträdgården!
In the roundabout outside the Expo, we’ll open our After Run from 16:00-19:00. Open only to runners with a race bib.
Late Registration
As we expect the Ramboll Stockholm Half Marathon to be fully booked this year, we will close registration before the event, so late registration on-site is not possible this year.

Finding Your Start Corral
After dropping off your Kit Bag at the baggage drop, all runners except elite runners should cross Norrbro to reach the start corrals.
Please arrive 30 minutes before your designated start time to ensure you start as planned, in the correct start group. Entry to the start group is done at each respective corral. This year, they will be marked by tall pillars in eight different colors. Find your start group pillar and go directly to it for entry into the corral. Listen to the staff and follow their instructions.
We ask you to arrive in good time to avoid queues and stress before the start.
Start Corral Entry
The start corrals open at 2:15 PM. You must be in your start group corral no later than 30 minutes before your start time. Please note that only participants are allowed in the event area.
Toilets at the Start
Toilets are located near each start corral.

Water is available at Slottskajen and on Strömgatan.
Start Groups for SM Classes
For SM classes, the following applies: Men/Women seniors start in Start Group A. Other classes will be placed in different start groups, with the same start group for an age class. More info can be found here.
Start List
The full start list for Ramboll Stockholm Half Marathon can be found here.
Timing
All participants will have their start time registered when they cross the start line. This way, everyone gets their actual running time recorded, i.e., the time from crossing the start line to crossing the finish line. This is known as net time. The gross time (time from the start gun for the group to crossing the finish line) is also indicated in the results list, which can be found on the website immediately after the race.
Timing is done using a data chip placed on the back of the bib number. The bib number must be worn on your chest throughout the race. This is because the mats with sensors laid out at the start line, at the split times, and at the finish line must be able to read it.
Please note:
– The bib number is personal and must not be transferred to another runner.
– The bib number must be worn fully visible on the chest throughout the race. If you are wearing a running vest, the bib number must be worn on top.
Fill in Medical Info + Contact Info on the Back of the Bib Number
On the back of the bib number, write the name and phone number of a relative, as well as any medication or illnesses you have. This will help our first aid team if you encounter problems during the race.
COURSE
The course measures 21,098 meters – a half marathon. The course was officially measured by an authorized course measurer in 2024.
It is important that you respect the barriers, as traffic on some streets will be open on the opposite lane. Police and/or marshals will be at every intersection along the course. Follow their instructions. Clear signs mark each kilometer along the course.
Split Times
The four split times are displayed at 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, and 20 km. Please note that the clocks are started according to the first start group’s (Group A) start time. This means that runners in Group B should subtract 5 minutes, runners in Group C should subtract 10 minutes, runners in Group D should subtract 15 minutes, runners in Group E should subtract 20 minutes, runners in Group F should subtract 25 minutes, runners in Group G should subtract 30 minutes, and runners in Group H should subtract 35 minutes from the time shown. At 5, 10, 15, and 20 km, your split time will be recorded. These will then be indicated in the results list after the race.
Pace Service
The pacing service is presented by Samsung Galaxy Watch. If you’re unsure about the pace to maintain in the Ramboll Stockholm Half Marathon, just follow one of our pacers—experienced runners equipped with a clear flag who run the race at a steady pace. We have pacers for the following finish times:
- Start Group A: 1:30, 1:40.
- Start Group B: 1:40, 1:45, 1:50.
- Start Group C: 1:45, 1:50, 2:00.

As a runner in the Half Marathon, you’ll receive lots of encouragement along the way. You’ll be cheered on by the crowd, our volunteers, sponsors, cheering squads, live bands, and DJs, who will give you energy all the way to the finish line!
Maximum Time and Cut-Off Time
The Police Authority has granted a maximum time of 2 hours and 45 minutes. This means that runners in the last start group must finish by 18:50.
Stop Times at 12 km and 17 km
There are two cut-off times:
- At 12 km, there is a checkpoint that all runners must pass by 17:35 to continue the race.
- At 17 km, there is a second checkpoint that all runners must pass by 18:15 to continue the race.
Runners who do not make the time limit will be offered transport to the vicinity of the finish area.
Dropping Out
If you drop out of the race, we will arrange transport from the hydration stations at Kungsholms Strand (5.5 km), Rålambshovsparken (9 km), and Tantolunden (17 km) to the finish area. From other stations, you will need to return to the event area on your own.
App
This year, you can follow runners through the Ramboll Stockholm Half Marathon app. By clicking on ”follow runner live,” you’ll be directed to the results page and our tracking feature. Participants can also find participant information in the app.
Race Rules
The race follows the competition rules of the Swedish Athletics Federation and World Athletics. The Ramboll Stockholm Half Marathon is sanctioned by the Swedish Athletics Federation, World Athletics, and AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Road Races). Only runners born in 2006 or earlier are allowed to start, and all runners participate at their own risk.
The Ramboll Stockholm Half Marathon is a World Athletics Road Race Label event and, therefore, a race that contributes to world rankings.
The Ramboll Stockholm Half Marathon course runs through urban environments with curbs and similar obstacles, so we do not recommend participation with a wheelchair.
For the safety of other participants, strollers, baby joggers, bicycles, joelettes, rollerblades, roller skis, inline skates, handcycles, walking sticks, and skateboards are strictly prohibited during the race.
Runners must follow instructions from police officers and volunteers. For safety reasons, it is absolutely forbidden to have a companion cyclist during the race.
Running Shoes
Elite runners competing in shoes that do not meet World Athletics’ requirements for ”general availability” risk being disqualified after the race. World Athletics’ list of approved road shoes can be found HERE.

Please note that there are no shower facilities on-site. Thank you for helping keep the changing tents clean and disposing of trash in the recycling stations outside.

NOTE! To make kit bag handling easier and reduce queues, we encourage you to prepare your kit bag by attaching your race number label before arriving at the event area on Saturday.

After the race, you can collect your overgarments at the same location. It’s important to label your bag with the label that has your name and start number, which you received with your bib number. When collecting your clothes after the race, show your bib number, which serves as your receipt, no later than 19:30. There is no separate valuables drop-off this year; all drop-off occurs at the clothing drop-off.

The role of first aid personnel is to assist with first aid and advice and to ensure that participants who need further care are transported to a hospital. Their role is not to ensure that a participant who feels unwell or is visibly injured can continue. They have the right to remove injured or exhausted runners from the course. If you need help returning to the event area, we offer transport services by motorcycle—contact the nearest volunteer in that case.

SORTERA—Our Partner for Waste Management and Recycling
Marathongruppen and Sortera have been collaborating for several years to make our events more sustainable, where you as a participant play an important role. In our event areas and around the start and finish, there are sorting stations where you sort what you want to throw away into different categories. This may mean you need to walk a few extra meters to reach a sorting station in our event areas. Along the course, stations for cups and general waste are available as usual at our water stations. Thank you for always looking for Sortera’s stations when you need to throw something away. This helps our cleanup efforts, and you become an important part of our sustainability work in cooperation with Sortera. Read more about Sortera’s operations here.
